Wish Lanterns and the Private Restaurant Fad

When you write a lot of articles you sometimes come across some pretty interesting topics.  For me, one of the coolest topics I ever covered was about wish lanterns.  This article was a draft that I don't think was ever used.  It was deemed too short by the editor.

A wish lantern is like a candle in a kite.  The candle creates heat that stimulates the paper balloon to rise into the air.  When you see hundreds or thousands of people release wish lanterns it is a truly amazing spectacle.

For a fraction of the cost, members of the general public are inviting strangers into their residences for a remarkable dining experience; a three or four course meal, with restaurant-style service, this is the new craze going around town.

The hosts love to cook, and exhibit their culinary skills and people love to see how other people live or have a good nose around their abode, thus the supper club idea is catching on for a number of reasons.

Certainly, among so many of these supper club joints to select from around London and indeed across the UK, creating yours stand out for potential clientele might be difficult -no more, say we. With wish lanterns, either set free at the end of the meal, or maybe given out to guests as a parting gift, your supper will be totally impressed at your creativity and consideration, and almost certainly be recommending to their chums, promoting your business and helping it keep running.

Now picture the event: your guests are full to the brim and absolutely happy with their delicious food. You guide them outside for a scenic exhibit of sky lanterns, as they stand and gaze at with a glass of wine, admiring their hosts.
